Drawing Faces with Words
first thing first, formal apology to the lectures because i haven't been updating my blog, i'm so sorry. i'm doing my best to keep this blog updated on every friday.
OKAY SO, today's update is: TYPOGRAPHY CLASS with Ms. Uma (week 2 ) in the class we learned how to draw faces using different kind of fonts, we draw things out of words. i was paired with Madeline, so i drew her face and she drew mine. here's what my drawing look like (i can't draw eyes, i'm sorry) :
before we doodle/sketch the faces and pick the right font to use, we "interview" each other. like, we asked each other what do we like for fun, what is our favourite song/movie, what is our favourite season, etc. basically to get to know each other.
for Maddy, i use Florentine font. i think that font represent her style, casual yet classy. the thin figure of the fonts, and the way it flows. her high points are her cheek bones and her smile.
and for this week (week 3, nov 5th) Ms. Uma gave us a project to make our on fonts. good thing though, this project is a group project. for this project i also work with Maddy.
last week ms. Uma told the class to bring 3 unique objects. from the 3 object of each person we have to pick 1 or 2 objects to be our inspiration for our fonts' shape. me and maddy pick maddy's skeleton pen and a random baby bottle that i found in my living room. i'll post what me and maddy's work later because i got no pictures of it. soz. so that's for today folks! until next friday......i think.....hehe....i'll try my best.
a bientôt! Xx FZ
