WATER, GENDER AND HISTORY

our lecture, sir Ardi, he took us to another art exhibition in Pancoran, Jakarta. the exhibition is at Gudang Sarinah, its called Jakarta Biennale. this exhibition focused on water, gender and history problem based on Jakarta's urban life, the economic, lifestyle and society. for instance, women who are dealing with sexism and cat calling and how often Jakarta got flooded. unfotunately i forgot to take a picture or note about the artists and art work titles. there's a lot of amazing artworks. and here's the pictures:

this two are my one of favourite artworks:

the artist presented this artwork using a video and projected on the screen. i forgot what's the title but based on the subtitles i think its about the people in Africa who are suffering with the economics and health (kwashiorkor: malnutrition). it shows how those people struggling so much, to do something better for them and the enviroment by working so hard but they didn't getting payed off, they did't get any benefits from what they do, not even money nor health care.
