SAR Indonesia, how it began? (process paragraph)

The birth of Search and Rescue Indonesia begins with mentioning Indonesia as a “Black Area”, a country that doesn’t have a SAR organization. Later on, Pusarnas (now BASARNAS) unit were responsible to enforce the operational SAR activities in Indonesia. Although with limited personnel and equipment, disaster handling activities of airlines and shipping have been carried out with satisfactory results. Then, Pusarnas is slowly developing under the leadership of (late) Air Marshall S. Dono Indarto. Finally, In order to develop this in 1975, Pusarnas officially became a member Nasar Pusarnas (National Association of SAR) headquartered in the US, so Pusarnas formally have been involved in SAR activities internationally.
